Who are we?
When plans for a new village at Dickens Heath were made public in the 1990s, some local Christians were inspired to plan how a new church could benefit the community. This desire came to be shared by people in many area churches. Several small groups met regularly in homes for two or three years. When the school was built, a suitable venue became available for public gathering. In September 2002, Dickens Heath Village Church was launched with the encouragement and participation of the UK Fellowship of Churches of Christ and two local Baptist Union churches.
Dickens Heath Village Church is full of people who have made mistakes, people who like to have fun, and people who want to love life–-not just endure it! We are a people who wanted a church for those who gave up on the church thing a long time ago, or haven't given it serious thought. We’re passionate about the message of Christ to help us walk God’s way
