Community
Our vision for community is about being integrated and centred in the community; the church forming and transforming the community.
This is a vision for building bridges and building community such that DHVC is deeply integrated into the community. Our success will be the answer to a crucial question: If DHVC were to disappear from the village would there be a genuine loss and grief due to our absence?
Vision Statement
DHVC will be a church whose people serve in many arenas in the community and whose presence influences both individuals and structures. The activities and presence of DHVC results in community transformation that honours God and brings people into contact with God's presence.
Health & Growth
This is about growing numerically and spiritually and being a healthy, vibrant, reproducing church.
Implementing this vision means creating the conditions and environment for DHVC to be healthy, growing, and reproducing. It is the cultivating, watering, fertilising, and nurturing that enables us to become a church of 100, or 200, or 300 and plants another church.
Vision Statement
DHVC will be a church in contact with increasing networks of people, helping many of them come into God's Kingdom and helping many develop in their spiritual life. DHVC will be a vibrant, healthy church involved in seeing God's Kingdom expanded through it's own activities and through participating in reproducing more healthy churches.
People
We're all about people, so we're inclusive, have an all age character, and the kind of place where people are released, empowered, and mobilised.
This is a vision for developing ongoing conversations with people that engage them meaningfully, non-judgmentally, and encourage them to take the next steps in their spiritual journeys.
Vision Statement
DHVC will be characterised as a friendly and open place for people of all ages. It will be a place for people to experience belonging. The people of DHVC will come to know how God has 'wired' them, and be empowered and released to serve God through serving people in a variety of ways where God has placed them, both through the church and in their networks of relationships.
