Caleb Mallard

Caleb has been part of DHVC since the early days, having served in youth ministry initially, and now as a full time paid staff member at DHVC. He has a passion for teaching the Bible and is involved in many areas of church life. He is a governor at Dickens Heath Community School.

Kate Mallard

Kate joined the leadership team at the beginning of 2009. As well as being married to Caleb she is a newly qualified children’s nurse. She has a willingness to serve and has gifts in many areas.

Gloria Close

Gloria works part time for DHVC in a pastoral role, caring for those within the church and those connected to the church. She is available to pray with those who request her to (along with Bernard). Gloria is also part of the worship team where she sings and plays.

Bernard Close

Bernard is our quiet and thoughtful member who often has a word of wisdom in a situation. He is also our practical man, being able to turn his hand to anything and make or mend whatever is needed. He knows quite a lot about bees.

Chris Maggs

Chris has been part of the church since it started and serves using his financial abilities as the treasurer. He also has a creative side, which is seen in his writing and drama. He spends his week working in the world of pensions.

Fiona Maggs

Fiona helps keep the church family running well as our administrator. She also teaches one of the children’s groups and plays keyboard with the worship team. In her spare time she is an occupational therapist.

Toby Joyce

Toby also joined the leadership team in 2009. Having moved to Dickens Heath a couple of years earlier, Toby has got involved with the youth and has made this his church family. He spends his week working as a landscape architect.
